Houston, Texas (May 30, 2020) Houstonians came together on Saturday, May 30, 2020 to protest the death of George Floyd. Floyd, a 1993 graduate of Jack Yates High School, grew up in Houston’s Third Ward. He played in the 1992 state championship football game in the Astrodome where Yates lost to Temple 38 to 20. The slideshow below shows images from Emancipation Park and throughout downtown Houston where supporters protested his death.
