September 3, 2016- NRG Stadium played host to the Advocare Texas Kickoff between the University of Houston Cougars and the Oklahoma Sooners. The Cougars ended the first half leading the Sooners with the score of 19 to 17. In the end, Houston lead the Sooners 33 to 23. La Vita Loca Photography has named Quarterback Greg Ward Jr. outstanding player of the game.
